Feed your skin naturally with Bia Beauty

I don’t know if it is a part of getting older and wiser (here’s hoping) or going through illness that has really made me stop and look at what exactly I am putting on my skin. With so many natural skincare products on the market, I decided to test the waters and try some products from cork based natural skincare company, Bia Beauty.

This award-winning natural skincare company was set up by the super talented Tracey Ryan. The very idea of Bia Beauty was conjured up whilst undertaking her degree in Herbal Science from the Cork Institute of Technology. After successfully selling her natural moisturiser at farmers markets, Tracey then went on to develop her current range of products. Whilst pregnant she grew increasingly concerned at what she was putting on her skin and decided to create products made from simple ingredients to quite literally “feed your skin”. She now stocks her range in over a hundred stores nationwide which certainly shows how truly hardworking and passionate a person she is.

I treated myself to a few products from her range to see how they stacked up against my trusty reliable’s. I also wanted to see if I could be converted into using more natural products as part of my skincare regime. I have to admit after only a few days of use my skin started appearing much brighter and softer. This skincare range is also fantastic to use on sensitive skin as it is very soft and gentle. Best of all it is purse friendly too. I find a little bit of product is all that is needed to successfully achieve results. It is safe to say I’ve now been converted 😀. The products I purchased and tested were:

🔅Lime pie lip balm – €4.95
A soothing lip treatment containing almond oil, beeswax and cocoa butter infused with lime. This makes your lips lip smacking good and the tin is super cute too.

🔅Natural skin repair cream, skins superfood – €12.95
This soothing cream is packed to the rafters with super ingredients such as heartsease, mallow, calendula and frankincense to name but a few. It is a great all round multipurpose cream that every woman should have on their bedside table and can be used to treat dry skin, rash’s and burns

🔅Apple blossom body butter – €19.95 (I tried a sample pot)
This body butter full of shea butter, Vit E, coconut and almond oils mixed with the delicate scent of Apple blossom creates a beautiful super nourishing body treatment. I think this type of body butter will be fantastic during the cold winter months or for when your body needs some extra tlc. It is pure luxury and perfect to smooth on the body after a lovely warm bath. I had to purchase the full-sized version for myself as I loved it so much. I tend to apply it once a week to my skin as I know otherwise I would be going through bucket loads of it if I was to use it daily. It feels like a true treat for your body and really makes the skin super soft. Tip: apply to skin after having a lovely warm bath with a lush bath bomb in it, heaven.

🔅Mellow mandarin moisturiser – €16.95
This moisturiser has fast become my absolute favourite and go to moisturiser. It is suitable for all skin types even those of us with sensitive skin. It is full of gentle nourishing ingredients from Vit E and calendula to honey and almond oil. A small amount of cream is all that is needed to leave you with radiant baby soft skin. I find this cream particularly good during this time of year for when it is cold outside and warm indoors as these temperatures can wreak havoc with the skin.

🔅Stop the clock, natural eye gel – €16.95 (love that name)
This eye gel has to be the only eye gel ive ever used that has not caused my overly sensitive eyes to itch or water. Containing gentle arnica, rose oil and aloe vera this gel is both cooling and soothing on the eye area. A teeny bit of gel is all that is needed to apply around the eye contour area.

🔅Orange and grapefruit facial exfoliant and cleanser – €16.95 This gentle and soothing cream smells delicious and leaves skin baby soft and positively glowing. The castor and thistle oils leave a beautiful residue on the skin whereas the jojoba grains gently remove the dead skin cells. It is not harsh on the skin like some exfoliants can be but still delivers on nourishment and brightening. I use this every second day as part of my nighttime skincare regime  and have noticed my skin looking a lot clearer with a smaller pore size.image

Bia beauty also produce a great five piece bite sized sample pack containing their best sellers for a purse friendly €10. This is a great way of trying out the range before you commit to buying a full-sized product. It is also a great idea for stocking fillers this Christmas.
