“A woman’s perfume tells more about her than her handwriting.”
I absolutely love deep floral sensual scents that have citrus undertones. I have tried a lot of different fragrances over the years but I think I’ve narrowed it down to these three beauties as being my absolute favourites. I was also extremely lucky to get all three for Christmas from the hubby, brother and mother in law so a big big thank you to them they have me spoilt.
Well I’m sure your dying to know what I like to smell like when I’m not living in my pyjamas lol. The three fragrances are; Jean Paul Gaultier Classique eau de parfum, Tom Ford Venetian Bergamot eau de parfum and NUXE prodigieux le parfum.
Jean Paul Gaultier Classique is a beautiful deep sensual scent. I also love the feminine shape of the bottle. I love to wear this perfume every day as the scent just makes me feel so feminine and empowered. I can understand how it can be too heavy for day wear for some people but I just adore it and it gives me confidence. The top notes include rose, star anise, orange, mandarin and pear, middle notes include orange blossom, orchid, plum, iris, ylang-ylang and ginger and base notes musk, vanilla and amber.*
Tom Ford Venetian Bergamot is the absolute love of my life at the minute but only used for special occasions. Ever since I smelt it six weeks ago in Brown Thomas I’ve craved it. It was only released this year but judging by the hubby getting his mitts on the very last bottle in Brown Thomas, it certainly seems very popular. Although extremely expensive it is a very nice gift to receive. I would never be able to afford to buy it for myself, it’s just so expensive but it oozes pure luxury. The top notes include bergamot, black pepper and pink pepper, middle notes ginger, magnolia, ylang-ylang, gardenia, cedarwood and pepperwood and base notes sandalwood, tonka bean, amber and cashmere.*
I discovered Nuxe prodigieux le parfum while I was over in Paris last year. I love Nuxe skincare especially their Huile Prodigieuse dry oil. The perfume was on offer so I decided to give it a try and it’s safe to say I haven’t looked back since. Although i had a slight wobble when a terrible leaking incident occurred (over my brand new mulberry purse). Let’s just say I was not a happy bunny. I’m still tainted by it, so is the purse. The perfumes top notes include bergamot, mandarin and orange blossom, middle notes rose, gardenia and magnolia and base notes vanilla, coconut and mineral accord.*
